A friend of mine suggested I try 3d print stick after seeing me struggle to successfully get parts started on my monoprice mp10. I had been using at times blue painters tape or a glue stick right on the removable textured bed which worked ok, maybe 50% success rate or so. I knew my bed was level and that the cura settings for my printer were as tuned as I could get them and so I was open to trying something new. After receiving my 3d print stick I was awed as my first, second, and third prints all adhered to the bed great and did not fail as I had become to expect. I was impressed, a bit curious, and so I thought I would give the new tool a workout. I tried both a very small delicate print, and a very large flat print, both of which had given me the most hassle before. I printed several small wall sections for a school project my sister was working on, and a full bed sized model of lower manhattan for the big one. The wall sections were made out of a wood petg filament and the new york model used white hatchbox pla. You can probably guess where this is going. Both printed super well, and I was especially pleased with how easily the delicate wall sections separated after cooled. Safe to say I am very satisfied and excited to trust that my prints will succussed moving forward.

In just one word… “WOW”!!! 3D Print Stick XL is super impressive and a must have for all 3D printing professionals and hobbyists! It is both very easy to use and seems to work nearly flawlessly every print for me… even as filament and settings are changed.
My home printer is an Ender 3 v2 that is slightly modified including a glass bed and stronger extruder. I had moderate success before but would get warping and corner lift-up from larger flat prints and certainly would not try to print anything with a voronoi base or multiple small, attached points. That is no longer the case with 3D Print Stick! After applying the adhesive with the bottle attached mesh dabber (I used zig zags as the manufacturer suggested) I was initially concerned that the lines I made would not be perfectly flat for the extruder. However, as the adhesive set and the bed warmed the lines seemed to disappear in front of my eyes.
Right before the print started the adhesive was so flat and clear you could not really see it at all. I could tell right away as the nozzle started skirting around the print area that I had never had better adhesion and a cleaner first layer. Everything sticks, from large flat planes of perfect lines, to small sections and support towers. I was also surprised that the adhesive seems to last on the bed through multiple prints. I have been re-applying every 5 or so prints and have yet to have a failure due to first layer adhesion. Removing the prints was also surprising, as after the bed cools, they seemed to snap right off (could literally remove with one finger). There was also no noticeable adhesive on the base of my prints after removal, and so no post processing required.
It is safe to say that my days of blue tape, glue sticks, hairspray, and other adhesives are behind me, and 3D Print Stick is here to stay! Can’t imagine when I will need another one either… they are much bigger than I expected and hold a ton of adhesive.
