Successful Summer Saplings with 3D Printable Seed Tray

After sampling several different variations of springtime seed starting trays, we decided that this one takes the cake, or Kale in this case! Our office garden now features 20 total of these trays throughout the garden. They are primarily used starting seeds and cloning fresh cuttings with rooting hormone.

These trays are light and can be printed either thicker with several wall layers, or quicker utilizing vase mode and thin features. The trays only have few bed contact points and without 3D Print Stick would have been very tricky to print, especially without a thick brim or raft. However with a layer of 3D Print Stick XL, we had no issue with bed adhesion and did not need to waste any extra filament on a brim or raft.
